Who started the $5 footlong revolution and Franchisee discrimination....

I have read many pieces on the internet about Subway recently. One about discrimination and hard working immigrants, the other about the guy who dreamt up the $5 footlong promotion and got it accepted at Corporate for a nationwide rollout.

What would be more interesting to me is, would he get the same fame and credit if the franchisee was a Sikh.......what am I talking about? read my two articles recently posted on this website, one about discrimination, the other about where the $5 originated.
