Six Extreme Pita comments off the internet..

1. Great lunch spot!  Fast, Friendly service.  Great food and healthy in the same is hard to come by these days.  I have been very impressed by the food and people.
They can accomidate catering too which is a very nice option for those of us that have business located nearby.  I have a business catering thing coming up in 2 weeks and have already placed the order with them.
The staff is very helpful for those of us that need a little help when ordering a pita sandwhich.  It is a great replacement for the over crowded over processed Subway's, Quizno's and places like that.
Good stuff!

2. I am ecstatic this place has finally opened.  Move over Subway cause this place is like you but with better selections and great menu ideas.  I love that they have nutrition facts on the wall and are dedicated to keeping the calorie count down in their dishes by steaming their veggies in stead killing them in oil.

3. Their food is so good an filling, I think they are lying in their nutrition facts.  Yum Yum

4. When Extreme Pita finally opened Memorial Day weekend, I had to try it out.  Each time I have driven by, I've eyed it up, curiously waiting for a "now open" sign to appear.  I checked out the website before hand, and was excited to see that they aiming to please the health conscious consumers out there.  An interesting fact about Extreme Pita-it's a chain based out of Canada.  Bothell is the first Extreme Pita opened in the state of WA.

Pita's method of operation is very similar to that of Subway.  It has the same setup, same type of toppings (except for more options), and same option to make a combo with chips or cookies and a fountain drink. Extreme Pita though, has a better selection of healthy options than Subway, sorry Jared but you may want to hop on the Extreme Pita diet.

The prices are a little high, but worth it I think.  They offer a small or regular size.  In my opinion, the small is the perfect size, and is not small in any way.  The small 6 inch pita costs around $6 with your choice of unlimited toppings and sauces.  I tried the buffalo chicken pita.  In was able to choose onions, peppers, and mushrooms, which they sautéed up with the chicken, before added into the pita.  There are signs up behind the grill boasting the use of water, to sauté the veggies, versus oil, and that really made me happy.  They truly do care about my pitas being healthy!

5. My honey had a basic chicken pita, but there are a ton of different options here. You can get the pita filled in a traditional way and create it yourself, or pick a chef inspired kind.  They have a falafel pita as well as a gyro pita.  There's even a Mexican style one that they have a mole sauce to go with.  I'm definitely interested in that one.  The pitas can also be ordered flat, so they are more like a pizza.  And for those who are staying away from carbs altogether or are just feeling a little rabbit-y, salad, with the same choice of toppings as the pita, is also an option.

One thing I think would make the pitas taste even better would be to steam them before filling them, kind of like they do the tortillas at taco del mar.  I really think it would make a big difference to help soften the pitas, especially the whole wheat ones I think it's totally awesome that they offer whole-wheat pitas, so two big thumbs up for that as well.   I also wish they had spinach or romaine lettuce as an option for toppings, as the shredded iceberg lettuce is a bit disappointing.  Since Extreme Pita is on my route home, I will probably begin frequenting for lunch.  The staff is super friendly, and really excited about being there.  I'm excited about having a new place to go to that offers fast, yet healthy and yummy food.

6. Yummy, yummy fast food.  I really wish this little franchise would make it to Oregon.  It's similar to a Subway, but it's a little more creative and tasty.  I tried a Mediterranean Chicken pita and it was delish!  Fast, clean, and fun.  It would be a great place to grab lunch.  You can also get a bag of pita chips and hummus if you like they even come in different flavors.
I'm trying the Mexican style pita next time!
