A Subshop Seller's Checklist that's a must do for anyone considering selling their Subshop Franchise and especially those who are in the middle of a sale transaction and start running into obstacles.

Be ready to send out the latest Combo or internal sales and royalty report

Have Statement of Income and Expenses ready to send; if there are adjustments to be made to it, itemise them and show as an adjustment to this statement( recast statements)

Keep store in full compliance

Perform all repairs and regular maintenance, so it shows well

Do the remodel or have edit list and labor quote ready

Set a realistic price for the store and ask yourself if you would pay that price knowing what you know.

Have an accountant’s Price Fairness Opinion prepared ( Fayaz Karim does this too)

Get everything else ready that I have posted on the buyer’s check list elsewhere on this web site

Consider hiring a knowledgeable intermediary(like me!) to act as your Consultant who can package and present your store in the best possible light without being unethical or untruthful.

You will need advice on Pricing, Terms, Financing, Area Developer valuation, and Subshop transfer documents, and buyer qualifications
