Freestyle: Choose your drink, and press the pour button.
Four Subway restaurants will be the first fast-food eateries in Orange County to be outfitted with Coca-Cola’s new soda fountain of the future.
Coca-Cola Freestyle machines will be installed at Subway restaurants in Huntington Beach, Dana Point, Laguna Niguel and a 24-hour Subway in Fullerton, said Ben Purcell, a marketing representative for Subway restaurants in Orange County.
Freestyle lowdown: In case you missed my previous reports on this, Freestyle is touch-screen beverage bar that contains 104 Coca-Cola-owned brands such as Minute Maid, Coke, Diet Coke, Fanta, Dasani, Hi-C, Vault, Coke Zero and Sprite. Sports drinks and flavored water are also available.
The machines, which will replace the traditional 8-to-12 dispenser soda fountains, are being tested in various West Coast markets.
The four Subway restaurants are among nine restaurant companies testing Freestyle in O.C. CLICK HERE for the exact addresses of each of the Freestyle test locations in Southern California. (Other brands include Pei Wei, Jack in the Box, El Pollo Loco and Carl’s Jr.)
